Paleo Pines players are reporting that the game is frequently crashing on Nintendo Switch.

Players have shared their experiences with the issue on social media hoping to find a solution.

Hello, I’m on Switch and I have the problem of the game stopping when saving and crashing. I would like to hear from you when you have an update, because I can’t play at all anymore with the crashs. (Source)

Italic Pig’s latest dinosaur themed farming simulator, Paleo Pines, is reportedly experiencing severe crashing issues on Nintendo Switch.

Paleo Pines has an in-game ‘day’ system similar to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, where the player’s character needs to sleep to proceed to the next day.

However, according to new player reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), the game crashes or freezes every time they try to sleep in-game.

Additionally, some players have reported that the game crashes when they attempt to manually save. As a result, many players rely on auto-saves to play the game.

However, players claim that the game also crashes when it autosaves at night or when they change between regions.

I play on switch and I’ve been manually saving. I now can’t save or start a new day without my game crashing. Will this patch fix my save or do I need to start a new one? (Source)

Although the situation may seem dire, there is some good news.

As the reports piled up, the support team at Italic Pig made an official statement acknowledging the issue and confirming that they were working on a fix.

However, it may take some time until the official fix is issued. In the meantime, the developers have suggested some tips that could offer temporary relief:

– Don’t use manual saves at all.
– Delete any older saves you don’t need (use the Load Game menu to see all the individual auto and manual saves within your save).
– If your game has crashed, your most recent saves may not work, so please check before you start deleting older ones!

10:12 am (IST): Although the most recent patch appears to have fixed the crashing manual saves on Switch, it appears that some Nintendo Switch and PlayStation players are still experiencing crashes.
