New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on Sep. 27, 2023) follows:

Cyberpunk 2077 players are reporting a bug in the 2.0 update that renders them ‘invincible,’ preventing them from taking damage in the game.

Many players have shared their experiences with the issue on social media in the hopes of finding a potential fix or solution.

I’m not taking damage and I dont know what to do. I already reinstalled the game, check the files. Does anyone have the same trouble? Any fix? (Source)

This is on very hard, playing Phantom Liberty btw – when taking damage my health drains very rapidly, that is until i hit 90 health. Then, no matter how much damage i take, my health cannot fall below 89. (Source)

CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 recently received a massive update known as update 2.0, which allegedly has various issues.

According to reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), players are allegedly not receiving any damage after their health bar reaches a certain threshold.

Some players indicate that when their HP drops below 90 points, they become invincible. On the other hand, a few players have pointed out another interesting aspect of the issue.

Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 no damage

These players say that the problem is prevalent among characters who use the Berserk Cyberware in their character attributes.

This Cyberware is particularly popular among melee players. While being invincible could be beneficial for close combat users, it makes the experience dull.

The Berserk Cyberware has a special attribute that temporarily negates damage after the player’s HP drops below 25%.

However, due to the bug, this effect has allegedly become permanent for some players.

I don’t know how I activated this bug, but it seems like the berserk effect of not going below 25% health lasts forever on my save. There is no way for me to die, including jumping from heights. (source)

However, the issue doesn’t end there. Some players have also reported instances where enemies have become invincible.

i’ve tried changing saves and starting a new game. the enemies would get hit by my allied NPCs, but they don’t take damage from me or they would take damage to 0 health, but then don’t die. (Source)

Workarounds for ‘invincible’ bug making players take ‘no damage’ in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update

As reports continue to pile up, some players have proposed potential workarounds for the issue. One player suggested that it can be fixed by using a Save editor:

-Download this save editor from GitHub.
-Extract the files.
-Run the executable.
-Click “Open savefile.”
-Locate the save file you want to edit.
-Click the “Advanced” tab.
-Click the “Godmode” tab.
-Browse through the values under entityID until you find your V entity ID: 0000000000000001.
-Delete that entry.
-Click Save.

This allows you to take damage like normal. (Source)

Some players also suggested that ‘sleeping’ in the game may resolve the issue.

So far, there has been no official statement regarding this issue. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if and when there are further developments on the matter.

Update 1 (October 4, 2023)

05:52 pm (IST): Sadly, the ‘invincibility glitch’ is still present and there is no fix in sight or an official word about it (1, 2, 3).
