Here’s the crux of the article in video form:

Destiny 2 players are reporting that one of the PvE abilities, ‘Thundercrash,’ is not taking a direct impact on enemies, particularly bosses.

On various social media platforms, players have shared their thoughts and opinions in the hopes of shedding light on the issue.

I literally cant hit a target head on (typically bosses) and just slip off of them wherever I make contact what seems almost 100% off the time unless you land ontop of their head (Source)

I am playing the new seasonal activity and anytime I try to Thundercrash with Cuirass of the Falling Star I clip straight through the boss. There is no direct hit anymore it seems. Is this something Bungie changed? That is a major nerf if so (Source)

Bungie’s Destiny 2 offers players a wide range of attacks and equipment. These are meant to help them dominate both in PvP and PvE settings.

Among the plethora of combat abilities in the game, one is ‘Thundercrash.’ Thundercrash is a Super ability of the Titan’s Striker subclass. It allows the user to fly through the air and crash into the ground.

It’s an effective way to deal significant damage to enemies, especially bosses. However, recent reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) suggest that the attack has been significantly bugged for unknown reasons.

According to players, the attack no longer connects with enemies. Instead, the player character simply passes through them.

Players are perplexed about why this issue is occurring. Some even speculating that the attack has been stealthily nerfed or is simply bugged.

Workarounds for fixing ‘Thundercrash’ not taking a direct impact on enemies in Destiny 2

According to some experienced players, this issue has been known for a while now. However, there is a way to make the attack work.

Players have suggested that instead of targeting enemies or bosses head-on, they should aim for their feet, and the attack may connect.

It’s a known issue in the community – try aiming at the boss’ feet and you should get back to being the god of thunder! (Source)

For players who don’t like this workaround, some have suggested waiting for a future patch. If anything, the official fix could be the only solution.

it’s a glitch. you aren’t losing brain cells. aim at the feet for now and wait for a patch or switch supers/subclasses (Source)

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide an update if there are any further developments on this matter.
