Resultantly, the pen spins and subsequently falls out frequently, which is, for sure, quite frustrating and annoying.

This situation also poses a significant concern because one may end up damaging the accessory or losing it. People are sad as they have paid a total of $100 for the case, which falls short on build quality.

And to make matters worse, one may have to get a replacement at their own expense if they misplace it. Some claim that they nowadays leave the device at home because they fear losing it.

Understandably, they are agitated, as it defeats the purpose of purchasing the case in the first place. While others assert that they have resorted to temporary solutions like applying scotch tape to the accessory.

The pen falls out with minimal effort. Sliding my fingers with little to no pressure causes the pen to spin allowing for it to fall out. Hoping it’s quality control issues. I’m going to reach out and ask for a replacement case.

People are speculating that this might be happening because of manufacturing defects in some production batches.

Notably, a subset of users contend that the S Pen fits securely within the silo, indicating that the issue may not be present in all cases.

One of those impacted says that Samsung has assured them that they will get a full refund for the defective case. However, the company did not provide any concrete details about the flaw in the product design.

Why does Samsung continue to sell the defective Z Fold 5 S-pen case? Many many complaints about the pen falling out. Looks like reviews for this item have been turned off. Samsung now knowingly sells junk.

Official response

Fortunately, a Samsung Community Manager has responded to the matter. They claim that the company is aware that the S Pen does not fully click into the Galaxy Z Fold 5 Slim S Pen Case.

Customers have been asked to get their existing case exchanged for a new one by contacting Samsung Care on the helpline or at the store or website where the case was purchased.
