Several iTunes users allege that the Windows app has been plagued with unfixed bugs and issues ever since the launch of Apple Music Preview.

And this is undoubtedly quite frustrating and annoying for those who rely on iTunes to enjoy music.

iTunes for Windows plagued with unfixed bugs and issues

iTunes for long has been one of the only Apple apps that caters to the needs of Windows users. However, this paradigm shifted earlier this year with the introduction of Apple Music Preview and Apple TV for Windows.

Although it now seems that Apple has started diverting its attention away from its iTunes app for Windows. According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple iTunes users are experiencing difficulties while using the app.

As per the claims, the client keeps crashing for those on Windows 8.1. Allegedly, they receive a ‘Genius results can’t be updated right now. An unknown error occurred (0X80090302).’ message.

While others contend that the app fails to sync local files, even when both their phone and laptop are on the same Wi-Fi network. Surprisingly, this is also happening when the synchronized library setting is turned on.

Users also assert that the app can no longer sync music present on their external drive. And to make matters worse, people are encountering problems while trying to sync between iTunes and Apple Music as well.

Also, people have observed instances where the song previews fail to play and get stuck in an endless loading loop. In addition to this, the unavailability of song lyrics on different devices has perplexed them as well.

Suddenly when I upload songs to my iTunes they do not sync. My phone and laptop are both on the same wifi and my synchronized library is turned on. Any suggestions?

A user says that iTunes crashes whenever they try to access Apple Music from it. They also mention that the app can barely remain stable for 5 minutes after using Apple Music Preview.

People have already tried restarting both the app and their machines, deauthorizing and re-authorizing the client, and uninstalling and reinstalling it, but to no avail.

No official response

Unfortunately, Apple has not officially responded to the issue. However, users feel that Apple should either get rid of iTunes completely and improve the Apple Music app or provide better support for both.
