Some X (formerly Twitter) users have found themselves facing a frustrating problem where the feed has become inundated with low-quality posts.

The only purpose of this type of content is to boost engagement and raking in more ad revenue.

X (Twitter) feed filled with low quality posts

For many X users, the social media platform has been a source of entertainment, information, and connection.

However, an increasing number of users have been noticing a disturbing trend on their timelines. The content that pops up seems to prioritize engagement above all else.

This means that users are bombarded with posts that may not provide any real value but are designed to generate likes, comments, and shares.

This content can take various forms, including clickbait articles, sensational headlines, and repetitive memes. It often lacks depth, substance, or authenticity, leaving users feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.

Verified accounts now get priority viewing on the threads and majority of replies have nothing to do with the original post. It’s just meme accounts and online prostitutes promoting their content. This needs to change! (Source)

I’m not a big user and didn’t use to be. But I did scroll on it for a while both before and after the change. And one thing I noticed is now I can’t seem to find any left wing tweets anywhere. It’s like they vanished. I’m just curious if this is something everyone is seeing. Apologies if it has been asked before (Source)

Fortunately, the frustration among X users did not go unnoticed. Elon Musk has confirmed that a fix is in the works.

In response to user complaints and concerns, he publicly acknowledged the problem and expressed his commitment to addressing it.

We hope that this problem gets fixed soon as it’s ruining the user experience. That said, we will keep a track of the latest development and update this article accordingly.
