Amazon has some exciting plans for its Kindle for Mac app. According to the announcement, a new and improved Kindle app will be introduced for Mac users in September.
The announcement further stated that the old version of the app will be discontinued by October.

When the new app becomes available, transferring your collections will be effortless. Here’s what you need to do.
You simply need to update your current Kindle for Mac app to the latest version (1.40.1 or higher). And then once you open the updated version of the current app, transfer of your collections will automatically trigger.
While this all sounds fantastic, there’s just one small catch. Some users have reported that they haven’t spotted the new app in the Mac App Store yet, even though the announcement said it will be released in September.
However, you should know that Amazon hasn’t shared any specific date of its release. So we advise you keep an eye out for it, and you’ll soon be enjoying the enhanced Kindle experience on your Mac.
