Some YouTube Music users have been facing an issue where ‘remix’, ‘nightcore’, or ‘mashup’ songs keep reverting to the original track in playlists.

And without a doubt, it is quite disappointing that one cannot even continuously enjoy grooving to their favorite tracks.

YouTube Music reverting ‘remix’, ‘nightcore’ or ‘mashup’ songs to original track in playlist

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple users have lately been unable to add remixes or unofficial versions of the songs to their playlists.

As per the claims, the YouTube Music app keeps adding the original track instead of different ‘remix’, ‘nightcore’, or ‘mashup’ songs that they like.

People have also noted instances where they cannot add alternative music videos of the songs to their playlists. Even in this case, the app allegedly keeps placing the official tracks.

And sadly, they are unable to get rid of this problem even after tinkering with different client settings or restarting it. But luckily, one can use the YouTube client or the web version and create playlists normally.

A user complains that the app replaced their collection of nightcore and lower-key versions of songs with the original ones.

Another adds that all of their saved songs got redownloaded after the latest update. And sadly, some of their tracks were replaced with the wrong versions.

@youtubemusic I’m really angry with the most recent update. I had a playlist saved for especially nightcore and lower key versions of songs, and the app has replaced them all with original versions.

The issue appears to have popped up after a recent app update and affects only those on Android and iOS. And understandably, users have taken to web forums to voice their discontent and ask for a fix.

REVERT THAT ANNOYING ISSUE FROM THE PLAYLISTS. I WANT TO LISTEN TO THE REMIX OF A SONG, NOT THE ORIGINAL SONG.
