Fuck this rockstar is going to ruin it, now we cant have branded items in FiveM. They have only taken over to fuck it up like usual

@FiveM was more stable and down way less often 5 years ago when it was free. Now we pay them loads of money just to have our servers unreachable for hours at a time multiple times per week. This is unacceptable. Guess @RockstarGames bought a dud.

One of the primary sources of unease stems from Rockstar’s recent track record. The release of the ‘Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition’ serves as a stark example of this.

Players were confronted with bugs and technical issues, leading to widespread dissatisfaction. The heavy-handed use of AI for the visual remastering further compounded the problems.

So, players worry that this acquisition may lead Rockstar to aggressively monetize FiveM and RedM. The potential for paid subscriptions or the introduction of microtransactions has also loomed large in discussions.

If this was the GTA SA era rockstar sure, but they’re part of one of the biggest greedy companies to have ever walked on earth(Take Two). This is a net lose because now they can either monetize the shit out of FiveM or do some fuckery with it.

Concerns related to the removal of branded content (real-world branded cars) are also making the rounds. Players find it difficult to let go as they are incorporated to heighten immersion and realism.

This could significantly alter the experience potentially pushing many away from the platforms they once cherished.

The acquisition allegedly explains frequent outages

It’s worth noting that ever since the takeover, players are also complaining about the downtime or limited accessibility of FiveM servers (1,2,3,4,5).

hopefully this @FiveM outage is for switching over to @RockstarGames servers….

Even though some have claimed that these outages are related to Rockstar’s server migration process, it’s vital to stress that nothing has been formally confirmed.

Ultimately, Rockstar Games ability to strike a balance between alleged business objectives and community involvement will determine FiveM and RedM’s future.

That said, we’ll keep tabs on the latest developments and update this article accordingly.
