Fresh reports suggest that numerous TikTok users have been getting spam invites lately and are now exploring ways to turn them off.

Like any other popular social networking platform, TikTok also allows users to invite their friends with an invite link to download the app.

In addition to this, one can share their invitation code with their peers and earn several reward points as well. But sadly, TikTok is not spam-free either.

Users occasionally get troubled by spam invitations, which are sent by bots or other automated means in large numbers and contain deceptive or misleading information.

And by looking at the reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), it appears that users are getting bombarded with a lot of invites lately. Some claim that they receive about 150 spam invites in the morning itself.

They also mention that the volume of spam increases significantly throughout the day. Users assert that despite turning off the invites, they keep receiving irritating messages and links.

And, for the time being, blocking and reporting these accounts seems to be the only option, but unfortunately, it doesn’t stop the invitations from coming.

People have also alleged that they keep getting invited to random videos by unknown persons. And to make matters worse, they repeatedly get tagged in such videos as well.

Additionally, individuals have attempted to get rid of the problem by turning off tags in comments or mentions, but to no effect.

And as a result, platform users have taken to web forums to look for ways to turn this feature off.

How to turn off spam invites

Fortunately, we have come across a way to stop these invitations. You can try clicking on the ‘Creator Tools’ option in the app’s settings menu.

Now, click on the ‘Add yours’ option and then on the three dots at the top-right corner of the screen. After this, select the ‘No one’ option.
