A Brand manager has clarified that Amazon does not directly control the prices for Prime Day. Secondly, Amazon employs web crawlers to aggressively price-match with online retailers, which are reseted on Prime Day sale.

Will company refund price drop or difference?

Additionally, Amazon’s Prime Day Price Guarantee empowers customers to shop with peace of mind and offers’ refunds on price difference. So some users (1,2,3) are looking for clarity on it.

If you purchase an item marked with the red Prime Day Deal badge on July 11th or 12th, and its price decreases further before 23:59 PM BST on Wednesday, July 19th, Amazon will automatically refund you the difference.

No purchases made outside of these said dates are eligible for the refund.
