It appears that the problem arises after users share posts made on Threads, on their Instagram profile. This appears to a triggers a series of events lead to the disappearance of pinned posts.
The issue becomes even more confounding when users attempt to pin new posts, only to witness them also vanish.
Furthermore, the problem extends beyond pinned posts, with new posts created by affected users failing to appear in their profile grid.
This leaves users with a sense of unease and uncertainty regarding the fate of their posts and the reliability of the platform.

Same here. 4 of mine have disappeared. I noticed that if you refresh the post count briefly changes to the real number though

Despite the ordeal, some affected users they can still view them under specific circumstances. If they have tagged anyone in the tagged section of the post or received a notification regarding the post, they can access it.
Workaround inside
While Instagram has not officially acknowledged this problem, some users have discovered a potential workaround. If you shared a Threads post on Instagram, deleting or archiving that post fixes it:
While this workaround may help alleviate the problem, it is important to remember that it might not guarantee a solution. The disappearance of ‘Pinned posts’ has been a huge cause of concern.
