Almost a month after the first screenshots of the app were leaked online, Meta’s highly-anticipated Twitter alternative is finally live and already off to a good start

Now that it’s here, fans of both platforms have decided to go to war. Thankfully, with memes and snarky comments their weapons of choice. Now who doesn’t love some good memes, eh?

In fact, in what most would consider a ‘boss’ move, Meta’s head, Mark Zuckerberg, ended his 11-year hiatus from Twitter just to post the iconic Spider-Man pointing meme.

This just goes to show that Mark Zuckerberg isn’t fazed one bit when it comes to copying features from other social media apps or entire platforms (cough, cough… Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok) for that matter.

That said, we’ve handpicked some of our favorite memes and comments from this whole Twitter vs Threads saga. Check them out below.

Speaking of copying, here’s a couple from users on team Twitter. Even Elon Musk had to chime in on this one with a laughing emoji:

But deep down Musk might not actually be laughing as Twitter users turn their attention to Threads.

But wait, not everyone who signed up to check out Threads came out happy. And here are some hilarious videos by those on team Twitter.

Some are even poking fun at the data privacy concerns that Instagram’s Threads finds itself drowned in.

Although, those who aren’t bothered about ‘data privacy’ have been delighted to see the app offering a ton of engagement even though it hasn’t even been a day since it launched.

Even Mark Zuckerburg is blown away by the number of users who’ve signed up on Threads already. Which at the time of writing is over 10 million.

Some netizens think the internet is big enough for both platforms to exist. Although, that means spending more time switching between social media apps.

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with spending hours on Twitter, Threads, and Instagram too, right? RIGHT!?

What’s my thoughts on the Twitter vs Instagram Threads saga? Well that’s simple, may the team with the best memes win! Let the meme war rage on.
