OnePlus has recently released the OxygenOS 13.1 update for multiple devices, which introduces new features such as auto-connect, Championship Mode, and O Relax.
The patch also adds music playback control to Game Assistant. Notably, the update is being rolled out gradually, starting with a small number of devices and expanding later.
Notably, the latest update is not currently available on all devices.
EU & Global OnePlus 11 users stuck on April patch
The OnePlus 11 global and European models received an update in May that brought the April security fixes and stability and compatibility improvements to network connections for a better user experience.
On the other hand, the Indian and North American variants received the newer OxygenOS 13.1 update, along with the May security patch.
More recently, the Indian variant received another update, this time incorporating the latest June security patch.
This implies that the Indian variant is now two updates ahead of the global and EU variants in terms of software and security patches.
Also, this uneven deployment of OxygenOS 13 updates has sparked discontent among the impacted OnePlus 11 owners (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10). They feel that their devices have been neglected compared to other regions.
Some have even expressed their frustration over the nearly two-month wait for updates. They argue that OnePlus’s inability to prepare a simultaneous update deployment for everyone is indicative of their disorganization.
Users think the business needs to increase the effectiveness of its R&D and distribute updates more fairly.
One of those affected says that they cannot quite understand why their OnePlus 11 5G device is still on the April 2023 Android security update in the middle of June.
On the other hand, another user claims to be happy as the company hasn’t released a potentially buggy update.
Hi, the most recent update for the OP11 was released in mid May, so I would not expect another update until mid July, as updates are released about every 2 months.

A user asserts that one of the OnePlus representatives stated that the European release was halted to prevent a potentially buggy update from being released.
However, according to the release notes for the most recent June update, OxygenOS 13.1 along with the latest security patch will be coming to North America and the EU later in the month.
Unfortunately, no precise information regarding the global version has been provided.
Although the global variant typically follows a similar update cycle to the EU model, there is still a lack of clarification as OnePlus has not officially communicated regarding the upgrade status.
