New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story from (June 15, 2023) follows:

Google Pixel users have now begun receiving the June 2023 security update with several fixes and feature drops along with the official Android 13 QPR3.

The latest Feature Drop also helps elevate users’ experience by introducing Cinematic wallpapers. These wallpapers use AI to convert your 2D pictures into dynamic 3D scenes, giving them a unique appearance.

It also lets you use the emoji wallpaper app to create colorful, dynamic backgrounds for your devices. However, it seems that this feature drop did not make it to every Pixel smartphone.

Google Pixel ‘Emoji & Cinematic Wallpaper’ missing

Several Google Pixel owners have taken to Google support forum to raise their concerns about the missing Emoji and Cinematic Wallpapers from the recent June feature drop update (1,2,3,4,5,6).

Reports indicate that the issue is not restricted to any one Pixel smartphone model. Rather almost all Pixel phones are affected by this bug (1,2,3,4).

Apparently, the feature arrived with the most recent upgrade that converts regular images into 3D pictures that users apply as cinematic wallpaper for Pixel devices.

But they currently don’t see any icon in the upper right corner to do so.

I’d update latest pixel update that feature AI cinematic wallpaper but when i apply to change wallpaper and i didn’t see any icon over top of the right corner to convert 3D cinematic photo.

Even after carefully following all the instructions, users are unable to find Cinematic and Emoji wallpapers. Restarting their smartphones doesn’t seem to help fix the issue either.

Here’s why you haven’t got the feature drops

According to a Google member, those affected can only wait patiently for the wallpaper emoji to appear. They are also advised to check for updates to the Play Store app as well.

Moreover, it must be kept in mind that certain updates and features roll out gradually and also vary from country to country.

To assure you that you might get the feature soon enough is a user’s report. According to them, they got the wallpapers but not the emojis. So, you can also wait for it to appear eventually.
