New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on June 8, 2023) follows:

Valorant, the popular tactical first-person shooter developed by Riot Games, has gained a massive player base since its release.

One of the game’s most exciting features is the Night Market, a rotating bi-monthly store that offers players a chance to purchase exclusive skins at reduced prices.

Every two months, the Night Market opens its virtual doors, offering a selection of random skins tailored to each individual player.

The anticipation leading up to the Night Market is palpable, as players eagerly await the chance to snag their favorite skins at a fraction of their original cost.

However, their expectations were shattered when they found that the skins offered were lackluster, undesirable, or simply not up to par.

Players argued that they had eagerly saved up their in-game currency, expecting to make meaningful purchases, but were now left with a sense of regret and dissatisfaction.

My store offerings have been absolute trash for god only knows how long. What pisses me off is that there have been multiple times where 2 or 3 items from yesterday’s store will respawn into today’s. They will just change their location.

Official word

Valorant support acknowledged the community’s disappointment and frustration through an official response on Twitter as they announced that ‘Night Market’ has been temporarily disabled:

As news of the disabled Night Market spread, players continued to express their desire for a reset or reroll (1,2,3,4,5). They argued that it was unfair to leave them with underwhelming options.

Please reset my night market on my main i’ve wanted the recon phantom for time and this is on my alt account the devastation of this honestly i wanna spend money on your game.

A re-roll would alleviate the disappointment and give players a chance to experience the excitement they initially anticipated and maybe get better skins.

While Riot Games has yet to provide a concrete timeline for the return of the Night Market, it is clear that players are eagerly awaiting its revival.

The community hopes that Riot Games will take their feedback into consideration and make the necessary adjustments to ensure that future iterations of the Night Market meet players’ expectations.

Update 1 (June 9, 2023)

04:15 pm (IST): The Valorant ‘Night Market’ is still disabled after more than 24 hours and many players are still eager for its return (1, 2, 3), but there is still no ETA.
