COD NICKMERCS operator bundle removed

Shortly after this controversial tweet, Activision, the publisher of the COD franchise, made the decision to remove the NICKMERCS operator bundle from both the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone in-game stores.

After NICKMERCS operator bundle was removed from COD Warzone & Modern Warfare 2, many players took to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction. Here are some reports for reference:

I stand with @NICKMERCS it was not an Anti gay statement it’s about letting kids be kids they don’t need to worry about sexual orientation or gender leave the kids alone (Source)

@NICKMERCS I stand with you @Activision @CallofDuty wanna cancel you for your comments fuck them I will never play call of duty again and I just recently bought MW2 they can shove it up their ass #GoWokeGoBroke I will be discarding the two call of duty’s I have (Source)

The operator bundle includes a unique character skin and other cosmetic items associated with NICKMERCS. Removing the bundle means new players can no longer purchase it, but those who already own it can still use it.

Moreover, this move has affected Activision’s stock as the share price appears to be going down. Several gamers are demanding Activision to bring back the operator bundle to the game.

Unfortunately, Activision hasn’t yet acknowledged these reports. Rest assured, we will update this article as and when we come across anything noteworthy.
