Sony Interactive Entertainment’s exclusive PlayStation Plus membership allows console owners to get access to new features and benefits that take their gaming experience to new heights.

The company also releases monthly games and exclusive content for subscribers. For instance, Sony recently launched NBA 2K23, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Trek to Yomi as part of the monthly release.

However, some are unhappy as they are facing some issues while downloading one of these games.

PlayStation Plus subscribers get a WS-46332-8 error while redeeming NBA 2K23 for download

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple PlayStation owners are facing difficulties while trying to download NBA 2K23 on their consoles.

Allegedly, on trying to redeem the game, they get ‘This item is available exclusively for PlayStation Plus members. Sign up today and take advantage of your PS4 (WS-46332-8)’ error.

On the other hand, others receive a ‘Cannot connect to the server (WV-33898-1)’ error message. And this too happens when one already has an active PlayStation Plus membership.

Interestingly, some players even claim that NBA 2K23 is not available for download as part of this month’s release. This has made them speculate that the game might be available for downloading in the next few days.

But luckily, one can redeem, download and install the other two games without any problems. An affected player claims to be facing this issue even when they are a member of the deluxe plan.

Gamers are now requesting the developers to resolve this issue as soon as possible so that they can enjoy playing NBA 2K23 on their consoles.

Potential workarounds

Fortunately, we have come across some potential workarounds that might help you get rid of this issue. Firstly, you can try installing the PlayStation App on your phone and signing in on it.

After you have logged in, you need to import the game into your library. Furthermore, you need to go to your console’s library and download the game from there.

Alternatively, you can try logging in to the website, adding the game to your library, and then embark on downloading it.

02:58 pm (IST): The WS-46332-8 error is allegedly linked to the malfunctioning Sony PSN servers, which have reportedly encountered some technical difficulties.

As a response to this situation, PlayStation support Japan has announced a scheduled server maintenance for today. This maintenance could potentially bring about a resolution to the current issues.
