The world of video games has evolved significantly over the years, offering immersive experiences and vast open worlds to explore.

One such game that has captured the attention of many players is Diablo 4, the latest installment in the beloved action role-playing series.

Diablo 4 community divided debating about a few aspects of the game

However, despite its strengths, Diablo 4 community is divided about certain aspects that hinder the sense of action and power progression that players crave.

One of the major criticisms surrounding Diablo 4 is the feeling of excessive walking and a lack of action in World Tiers 3 and 4.

In dangerous areas, players expect to encounter numerous enemies, creating a thrilling and challenging experience.

Another issue that players have highlighted is the lack of a noticeable power progression as they advance in levels.

Players say that they don’t feel any stronger at 72 than they did at 10. Scaling the open world is okay, but there needs to be far more things in the game that don’t scale.

The constant cycle of getting stronger and weaker and stronger seems to take the joy away for some players.

I played whole weekend until Level 73 and honestly i do not like it. Why should it Grind for better gear to play against scaleing System to feel less strong every Level to Grind even more gear. I miss some big raid boss dungeons with many Mini bosses prefered in Group scenario with all roughly same item Level where you also need to learn mechanics to find gear what makes my prefered build slightly overpowerd and give me epic character effects to Show off in town.

Diablo 4 is a game that encourages players to experiment with different builds and playstyles.

But it is almost impossible to try different builds as the loot in-game is not upto mark.

So, players have to scrap almost every legendary item just to have enough mats and aspects for their main build.

Reforging is waaaay too expensive. There are so many modifiers in D4 chances of getting the one you want is rare. I still have only successfully reforged 2 items into what I wanted. The rest I had to give up on because it quickly became 1+ million gold per respec. Put a hard cap on reforging costs at about 1 million gold and make it reach that cap much slower.

A more lenient approach to build viability and resource management would provide players with greater flexibility and foster a thriving community of diverse playstyles.

Significant concern arises once players reach level 50 and complete their unique item collection, skill tree, and aspect upgrades.

Beyond this point, there is a sense of stagnation as nothing substantial changes in terms of combat mechanics or character progression making the game appear boring (1,2).

Something what’s definitely missing compared to D3 and it shows even more because of the open world in D4 is the ‘Social’ aspect.

Even though the cities are full of people, players will meet random people doing events and what not, but it just feels kinda lifeless.

Positive feedback

Not everything in Diablo 4 is doom and gloom. While players express their desire for improvements in the game, there are several aspects that have been well-received and deserve recognition.

One notable aspect that players appreciate is the developers’ dedication to story-building. The game offers engaging dialogues and captivating cutscenes that players can enjoy.

Another viewpoint put forth by some players is that action role-playing games (ARPGs) are intended to have a slower pace compared to other genres.

The thrill and satisfaction come from the effort one puts into becoming stronger and overcoming challenges.

If the power progression were too swift or stagnant, the game would lose its sense of challenge and consequently become less enjoyable.

It’s worth considering that some players may be expressing their concerns around levels 50-60 without having fully completed the game.

There is so much to do, how can you guys be bored at level 60? You guys are so weird. You’re level 50-60. Its virtually impossible that you have done even the majority of the side quests. in D4. At your level you have no idea about the world yet – haven’t explored anything.

Diablo 4 offers a comprehensive experience beyond this point, and prematurely dismissing the game’s challenging aspects may be untimely.

Players are encouraged to push further and strive to reach level 100, where they can unlock the utilization of 225 paragon points, which provide additional benefits and character customization options.

It’s as simple as that. I enjoyed just being able to do my own thing. Oh there’s a main campaign? That’s cool, but I’m going to go off in a random direction do a few dungeons, maybe a side quest or 2. Oh what’s this? A stronghold, looks cool lets try that. At no point did I feel forced to play a certain way. I just kind of did what I wanted to do, and I love that.

The sales numbers of Diablo 4 speak volumes, as it has swiftly become Battlenet’s top-selling game.

While developers will surely make changes based on players feedback, there is nothing at the moment that suggest that you shouldn’t buy this game.
