[Updated] Will Apple Music Classical release for Mac, Apple TV or Android? Here's what we know

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on April 7, 2023) follows:

Apple has recently launched the Music Classical app for hardcore music listeners.

Apple Music users can download this app for free from the App Store and listen to any recording in the world’s largest classical music catalog with the highest audio quality of up to 192 kHz/24-bit Hi-Res Lossless.

However, the app is only available for iPhone users and even iPad currently runs its stretched version. Unfortunately, it has not been made available on other platforms including Mac, Apple TV, CarPlay, and Android.

And users who want to experience Apple Music Classical on other platforms such as Android, Apple TV, and Mac are now demanding it and asking as to when it will be available. Here are some reports for reference:

When will apple release the apple classical music app for Apple TV in the Apple TV App Store? I like to listen to Apple Music on my Apple TV so I can stream it to high-quality HDMI to my surround sound audio system. I wish to do the same with Apple classical music app. (Source)

Aside from not being on the Mac or iPad, you know what else @AppleClassical doesn’t have? CarPlay support from its iPhone application. Why?! (Source)

While the availability of Apple Music Classical is still a question mark for platforms like Mac, Apple TV, and CarPlay, the company has confirmed in its press release that it will soon be available on Android.

However, they didn’t provide any specific details on when exactly it will be released. As for those with M1 and M2 Macs, you can still run the mobile version of the Apple Music Classical app natively.

Apple hasn’t made any statement with respect to the availability of its Music Classical app on other platforms. And whenever they do, we will make sure to inform you by updating this article.

Until then, users will have to use the regular Music app for listening to classical tracks.

Update 1 (May 31, 2023)
