New updates are being added to the bottom of this story…

Original story (from March 25, 2022) follows:

Battlefield 2042 is the latest installment in the tactical FPS series from Electronics Arts. However, Battlefield 1 (its predecessor) still maintains a solid active player base to this day.

It appears that the sheer number of Battlefield 2042 issues has pushed some players back to Battlefield 1 or forced others to rethink about upgrading for a better experience.

However, many Battlefield 1 players on Xbox consoles have been facing server issues for a few hours now.

According to multiple reports, there is an ‘error code 32504’ or ‘server not working’ error that is preventing Battlefield 1 players from accessing any matches (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

Battlefield 1 ‘error code 32504’ or ‘server not working’ on Xbox

The issue in question results in many Battlefield 1 players only receiving ‘error code 32504’ or ‘server not working’ messages when trying to find matches through the matchmaking system.

Server problems

No matter the filters, I cannot join any game whatsoever. Whether I browse servers or operations. When i do browse servers they are all unpopulated, and when i use slot filters, even 10+ had no servers. When I try to do operations, I am met with Error code 32504. Could anyone offer any assistance?

All reports related to the issue seem to come from players on Xbox consoles.

An EA Community Manager confirms that the issue has already been escalated to the development team. However, there are still no details on an ETA for a fix that will return everything to normal.

We have escalate this to our teams and they are taking a look, as soon as we have an update we will let you know.
