It’s the world of Artificial Intelligence and we are living in it. There are a number of AI chatbots that it seems it’s become a prerequisite for every brand to roll out their respective products with AI.

One such brand that took the world by storm is definitely ChatGPT, followed by the likes of Google Bard, Snapchat’s ‘MY AI’, or Chai App.

All of this inevitably led to the appearance of numerous ChatGPT-related apps or its knock-offs on platforms like the App Store or Google Play Store.

Resultantly, a number of people (1,2,3,4) have taken to Reddit to complain that it has become increasingly impossible for them to find ChatGPT app on iOS via direct App Store search.

Ive seen so many fake ChatGPT ads on tiktok pretending to be the real thing.

Do note that OpenAI just released an iOS app for ChatGPT with the Android version to follow ‘soon’. The iOS app supports voice input, syncs conversation history with the web, and is free to use.

Naturally, a number of interested users rushed to App Store to download the app only to face disappointment. Apparently, it is extremely difficult to find the original app since the App Store is flooded with its clones.

Sadly, Android users are already worried about this issue even before the app is formally made available on the platform.

People are now calling in for a motion that will purge the fraudulent and ChatGPT clone apps. Hopefully, this will help reduce the number of predatory apps in the App Store and even Google Play Store.

This is good at least because then they can destroy the other scam apps for fraud and impersonation and market dilution and being criminals in general.

We also hope that Apple takes the necessary steps to get rid of such apps from the App Store. That will only make for a smoother experience for the users.
