Apex Legends 'Disconnected: Detected Data Mismatch' reported by some (workaround inside)
Fans of Battle Royale games actively choose and play Apex Legends all around the world. Developed by Respawn Entertainment, it offers an exhilarating gaming experience.
But like any online game, it is not immune to technical problems that can interfere with the gameplay. For instance, we previously witnessed a bug where players got stuck inside the Replicator.
Players also reported freezing issues in Ranked matches on PS4 and PS5 consoles.
Apex Legends ‘Disconnected: Detected Data Mismatch’ error
Some Apex Legends players (1,2,3,4,5) have now taken to social media platforms to report an issue that they are getting an ‘Disconnected: Detected Data Mismatch’ error message while trying to play the game.

Can we get a fix for “Disconnected: detected mismatch data” error? A lot of players are affected. Are you aware of the problem?

Reports indicate that the issue has been affecting players for quite some time and EA hasn’t come up with a fix yet. Some are now speculating that they are getting this error message due to a long time of inactivity (1,2).
The problem seems quite widespread as affected players have also taken to the EA community forum (1,2,3). However, there was no respite from this bug and they are still unable to access the game’s lobby.
This is incredibly frustrating since the bug is making the game unplayable for them. The fact that EA also hasn’t responded to the problem only adds to their frustration.
Potential workaround
Luckily, we have come across a potential workaround that can help fix the issue where Apex Legends players are getting ‘Disconnected: Detected Data Mismatch’ error.
It involves making a fresh installation of the game on a new Windows account after downloading the EA Launcher.

Since EA hasn’t acknowledged the issue yet, those affected can try the workaround mentioned above.
We hope that the developers look into the reports and come up with a fix as soon as possible.
We’ll keep tabs on the latest developments and update this article accordingly.
