If you’re experiencing difficulties accessing Coursera, find solace in knowing that you aren’t the only one having issues lately.

A section of users is currently facing an issue where they see a screen displaying the message, ‘Sorry, we are down for maintenance’ when they open the Coursera website.

A quick look at micro-blogging site Twitter conveys there are many others affected by the same issue. Here are some reports for reference:

Downdetector – a popular service that gives information about live outages – also conveys that Coursera is indeed going through a glitch in various regions.

This outage is a result of ongoing server maintenance being conducted by the Coursera team. While it can be frustrating to encounter such downtime, it’s important to understand that it is temporary and the service will be back.

Any official word on the matter? Negative, as yet. We’re yet to locate a word from the official service channels or their social media handles.
