Developed by IllFonic, Friday the 13th: The Game is a popular name in the survival horror genre. However, being popular doesn’t mean that it’s free from bugs and issues.
Database Login failure in Friday The 13th: The Game
Multiple Friday The 13th: The Game players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) are allegedly experiencing difficulties when playing the game due to abrupt disconnections.
As per the claims, one encounters this bug multiple times during their gameplay and have been unable to proceed without any issues for quite some time.
And to add to their troubles, some players get a ‘Database Login failure! Verify internet connectivity’ error while trying to re-launch the game, time and again.
However, others are so unfortunate that they are even unable to launch it. As a result, they are unable to enjoy playing the game. Surprisingly, some Twitch streamers can play the game on their consoles without any hiccups.
This is undeniably disheartening for all those who were thinking of playing the game for the very first time or wanted to play it with their family members.
Also, this is quite disappointing for those as well who wanted to re-play the game after several years but cannot even make it to the game menu.
The issue has been persistent for the past few days and affects players across multiple platforms.
Does anyone actually have a way to fix this. I’m playing on xbox, and I’ve tried reconnecting hundreds of times at this point. Even tried deleting the game and installing it again. Nothing seems to work.

Some have even tried re-connecting to the game’s servers multiple times, verifying the cache file, uninstalling and reinstalling the game but to no avail.
Official acknowledgment
Even though the developers have been working on fixing this issue since last year, still no permanent resolution has been provided till date.
So, it looks like gamers might have to wait for a while before the issue gets permanently resolved.
Potential workaround
Luckily, we did come across a potential workaround that might help solve the problem for Xbox owners. A Redditor recommends that you start the game and immediately switch to YouTube and let it remain opened for about a minute.
Afterwards, switch back to the game and start an offline match with Jason selected as the character. Once you have spawned in the game, feel free to end the match. Doing so will get you fully logged in.
Having said that, we do hope that IllFonic will soon resolve the ‘Database Login failure’ issue in Friday The 13th: The Game.
