[Updated] Clash of Clans 'Builder Base 2.0' riddled with matchmaking and performance issues

The Builder Base 2.0 update for Clash of Clans has recently been announced that also promises interesting content and some layout adjustments.

But players started reporting various issues ever since the update including crashing of the game, lost connection and more. Luckily, these problems were also addressed quickly.

However, several Clash of Clans players (1,2,3,4,5) are now claiming that the game is also riddled with performance and matchmaking issues.

Hey @ClashofClansbI can’t find a match in Builder Base after the update. I’m at 2.9k trophies. Been like this since yesterday. More than 10-12 mins passed staring at the clouds🙂

This update is the worst thing that ever happened in Clash of Clans. They ruined everything. This update is way more bad than good. Even worse than the old Builder Base

Some claim that while attacking, they cannot locate a base (1,2). As a result, they are forced to restart the game, which prompts an attack on them. Others, on the other hand, believe that it is just too complex to comprehend (1,2).

Reports also suggest that players are having trouble finding the matches. They continue to see the error message ‘Searching for opponent’ despite investing a significant amount of time.

Additionally, the game is extremely slow to load and there have been many instances of it crashing as a result of the most recent update.

Matchmaking issue continues to persist despite fix

Even though the developers had fixed the matchmaking bug, reports about the same continue to surface on Twitter and Reddit (1,2,3,4).

However, the team is yet to comment on the resurfaced reports. There is also no response on the performance related issues either.

Unfortunately, we haven’t come across any workaround that can help resolve the Clash of Clans matchmaking issues after Builder Base 2.0 update.

12:30 pm (IST): According to the Community Manager, they are actively investigating the matter and are working on implementing a fix.
