[Updated] Division 2 'Objective failed error when completing Take back the White House mission' gets acknowledged (potential workaround)

Massive Entertainment has recently released Title Update 17.3 for The Division 2 which addresses some of the known bugs and introduces improved DX12 performance and stability.
For instance, the patch fixes the visual glitch which caused Metalhead gloves to appear as Firewall gloves in the inventory.
The update also fixes the exploit that allowed players to farm high amounts of XP by resetting Legacy Manhunt: Faye Lau mission. However, it appears that the recent update has introduced some bugs as well.

Division 2 Objective failed error when completing Take Back the White House mission
According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple Division 2 players are experiencing difficulties completing Take back the White House mission as they get an objective failed error.
Gamers allegedly get this error after eliminating the razorback from the White House and finishing the cutscene. And to add to one’s troubles, walking back towards the Whitehouse restarts that part of the mission.
Some are even unable to skip the final cutscene. Due to this, players are stuck on this manhunt mission and are unable to proceed ahead in the game.
In addition to this, gamers are also unable to collect the last two comms as they can only be obtained after completing the manhunt mission for the second time.

Players have tried the common troubleshooting steps like restarting the game and mission multiple times but to no avail. They are now requesting the developers to fix this issue as soon as possible.
Official acknowledgment
Luckily, the Ubisoft Support team has officially acknowledged this issue and is currently investigating it. However, no official ETA for the bug fix has been provided.

Potential workaround
A potential workaround that you can try is to skip the last cutscene as soon as Kelso walks in. If that doesn’t work, change the difficulty level to normal, go slowly through all of the tasks, and skip the cutscene.
Having said that, we’ll continuously monitor this issue and update this article to reflect the latest information.
Update 1 (May 12, 2023)
12:30 pm (IST): Division 2 underwent a maintenance that included a fix for Objective failed issue.

However some players are still experiencing it.
Update 2 (May 15, 2023)
16:55 pm (IST): It appears that the most recent patch installed during maintenance took effect as the reports about the problem stopped surfacing for at least two days now.
