YouTube Studio is the hub where video creators can manage multiple aspects related to their accounts, check video stats, monetization, etc.
Users can access the hub through the website or dedicated apps. However, it seems that a recent YouTube Studio app on iOS broke the ‘Dark Mode‘ which is not working now.
YouTube Studio app ‘Dark Mode’ not working on iOS after a recent update
Multiple reports indicate that the YouTube Studio app ‘Dark Mode’ stopped working in the latest update from a few hours ago (v23.18.102).
In its current state, the app UI is always in ‘Light Mode’ even though the ‘Dark Mode’ option is enabled on the phone settings.
Hey @TeamYouTube why does YT Studio version 23.18.102 (today’s update to the iOS app) no longer respect my device’s dark mode setting in the app? (The app is white despite dark mode being turned on in device settings.)

Hey @YouTube What happened to Dark Mode on YouTube on iOS? After the latest update, it remains in light mode and is way too harsh on the eyes. 😵💫

Apparently, the ‘Dark Mode’ option is now completely missing from the YouTube Studio app settings on iOS.
I have lost dark mode on the iOS Studio app as well. Device force restart and app reinstall did not solve. I imagine TeamYouTube may want to get ahead of this bug.

The issue is causing visual discomfort among those used to ‘Dark Mode’. The ‘Light Mode’ can be especially annoying in dark environments due to the impact on the eyes.
The YouTube support team is already aware of the situation and investigating. However, there is no ETA for a fix yet.
hi there, we’re looking into it! for now, we recommend turning Dark mode off then back on and see if it helps

They even recommended disabling and re-enabling Dark Mode as a potential workaround. But this is impossible basically because the option is simply not there.
We will be monitoring the situation to update this story as events unfold.
