With the help of the mobile payment service, Venmo, users can send and receive cash from and to friends, family, and more. It even offers a variety of security and privacy protections to safeguard customers’ financial information.

The platform is free to download and use and is also available on both iOS and Android. However, it seems that iOS users are currently facing some issues while making and receiving payments.

Venmo app crashing or not opening on iOS

A number of Venmo users (1,2,3,4) have taken to Twitter to report that the iOS app is constantly crashing and not opening for them.

Venmo is one of the most popular services for sending and receiving payments. However, the recent crashes have left users worried about not being able to pay their rent and other expenses.

One of the affected users claims that the app crashes for them even before they can actually open it. Some have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but to no avail.

It is an incredibly frustrating issue and has left some users asking the developers to find the root cause and fix it at the earliest.

Issue persists even after a fix

Despite claims to the contrary, the bug related to the constant crashes with the Venmo iOS app continues to persist.

It seems that several users are still not able to access or open the app (1,2,3,4,5). Sadly, there is also no workaround that can help fix this problem temporarily.

We hope that the developers look into the reports and come up with a fix at the earliest.

10:44 am (IST): Venmo app on iOS has received a new update that reportedly fixes the crashing issue.

However, Venmo support said that users might still experience crashes if they do not update iOS to newer version.

09:50 am (IST): Even though a new version is available, some users are still experiencing crashes on the app.

Since the support warned, as per the previous update, that the crashes might persist if the OS was not updated, the problem in these instances might be caused by the iOS version that is being used.

They did not, however, specify which iOS version would be impacted.
