Owned by the Walt Disney Company, Hulu is one of the most popular streaming services widely used to view live sports events, news, movies, and other shows.
The platform is admired by users because of its affordability, original content, and other convenient features. But similar to other online services, Hulu also gets various bugs and issues that ruin the overall user experience.
We recently highlighted an issue where Hulu users were facing issues because of loud commercials.
Hulu ‘captions or subtitles out of sync’ bug
According to reports, Hulu viewers are facing a bug where the captions or subtitles for some of its content are out of sync.
This means that the words appearing on the screen do not match the audio and visuals playing, resulting in confusion and chaos among the users.

I do enjoy my Hulu Subscription more than the others I have. More to watch of what I like. However, I’m a bit hard of hearing and the closed captions have changed from being in sync with the conversation to being early. I find it really distracting and hard to follow.
Caption with incorrect spelling
In addition to captions being out of sync, some Hulu users have also reported issues with incorrect spellings or words being displayed on the screen.
This is a major issue, as many subscribers rely on captions or subtitles for a variety of reasons including hearing impairment or language barrier.
Fortunately, after multiple reports of the issue being filed for months now, Hulu has finally acknowledged it and is investigating the matter to provide a solution.

Though the issue has been acknowledged, it is not yet known when subscribers will get a solution. However, we have come across a workaround that can potentially solve the problem.

03:03 pm (IST): It has been around four months since users began reporting this issue and still Hulu support says that they don’t have any ETA as to when it will be resolved.
