New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on April 14, 2023) follows:

EA Sports PGA Tour is currently one of the most popular golf titles in the market. The game was recently released for PC and console players and has received mixed reactions from the community.

While a lot of players genuinely like the game, they are also annoyed by issues related to golf balls breaking into opposite directions or the challenges being broken. Unfortunately, the problems don’t end here.

EA Sports PGA Tour crashing during Playoffs

EA Sports PGA Tour players are reporting (1,2,3,4,5) repeated crashing issues especially during Playoffs in Career mode. This has made it almost impossible for players to make progress and climb the ranks.

Players report that every time they resume a Playoff session, the game experiences a sudden crash to the desktop. Due to this issue, they haven’t been able to play, let alone enjoy Career mode.

In some other cases, the game may crash at the last hole of the Playoff, in the Korn Ferry tour, or after making any kind of progress.

The crashing is not limited to a single platform either. According to reports, the issue affects PC, PlayStation, and Xbox users at the moment.

Some players have previously complained about EA releasing a half-baked game without proper testing. The constant crashes are only making these allegations stronger.

EA’s response

After noticing this problem, the developers were quick to respond and released a patch that intended to fix the crashing issues when resuming a Playoff session. Sadly, this didn’t make a significant difference.

Players are reporting (1,2,3) that the issue persists even after the latest update. Some have already tried troubleshooting steps like reinstalling the game, restarting the system, and verifying game files, but to no avail.

The blog they posted yesterday claims that the update fixed the issue, but it clearly did not. Plenty of people here and on the forums still complaining

We hope the developers look into this problem and fix it as soon as possible. We’ll keep an eye on this matter and update this story to reflect noteworthy developments in the future.
