We are currently seeing reports about Google Fiber being down for many users. If you are also experiencing an outage of sorts, find solace in the fact that you may not be alone.

If you look at the DownDetector map for the service, you’ll see there’s definitely a spike in reports right now. For those who want to check the service status in their area, follow these steps:

– Go to this page: https://downdetector.com/status/google-fiber/
– Input your street address
– And finally, select the “Check status” option to check details related to the outage (if any)

10:24 am (IST): Fresh reports on Twitter and Downdetector now suggest that Google Fiber is currently down or not working for many.

Update 2 (October 10, 2022)

02:25 pm (IST): Reports on Downdetector now suggest that the recent outage with Google Fiber has now been resolved.

Update 3 (March 9, 2023)

12:30 pm (IST): There is an ongoing Google Fiber outage in some areas (1, 2, 3). The support team is already working on solving it.

Apparently, service is expected to be restored by 8:00 AM (MST).

08:54 am (IST): Google Fiber service is currently in the midst of an outage due to unexpected maintenance (1, 2, 3). Service is expected to be restored in the affected areas at 7 am.

03:30 pm (IST): The latest internet outage has already been resolved.

08:44 am (IST): Google Fiber internet service is currently in the midst of an outage in certain areas due to recent storms damaging some of the company’s commercial power supplies (1, 2, 3).
