Eufy is a famous brand that produces easy-to-use smart home accessories and appliances. It includes devices such as security cameras, video doorbells, smart locks, alarm systems, and much more.

It sells a series of security cameras called IndoorCam that can be set up in your home at different locations. The users of IndoorCam were waiting for compatibility with HomeBase 3, while the company kept postponing it.

Eufy Hombase 3

Following the massive demand from users, Eufy has finally made the IndoorCam devices compatible with HomeBase 3, but there’s a catch.

HomeBase 3 recordings limited to 4 Eufy IndoorCam

The users who have been waiting for this function to arrive would be disappointed after knowing that only 4 IndoorCam support continuous video recording.

This means that those who have more than 4 cameras won’t get recording from the 5th camera onwards.

After waiting months for the support of Homebase and Indoor cameras, I finally managed to set it up. To my surprise, it is not possible to set up more than 4 cameras with continuous recordings. I don’t remember seeing this information somewhere, but I thought it was relevant to reinforce it here if someone is planning to buy to do this. (Source)

Yes this is true I have 4 and tried to add another and I got a message that I have reached the limit of only 4 continuous recording cameras , then why did I buy hb3 and 1 Terabyte drive for it? 🤦‍♂️ smh (Source)

Surprisingly, the official page of Eufy which shows the IndoorCam compatibility with HomeBase 3 does not mention anything regarding the limitation information.

And users who are trying to use more than 4 cameras with HomeBase 3 are getting a message that says they have reached the limit of 4 continuous recording cameras.

This shouldn’t be the case and users should get to record for more than 4 IndoorCams on their HomeBase 3 considering that these devices come with a huge storage capacity.

Or at least, the company should have informed about the limitation on their official page.

So, users who are looking to use more than 4 IndoorCam devices with HomeBase 3 should know that they won’t be able to do it, not at least for now.

And we hope that Eufy makes changes and provides support for continuous recording for more than 4 cameras. Rest assured, we will make sure to update this article as and when we come across any noteworthy information.
