Electronic Arts recently released an update for The Sims 4 which introduces fixes to some known bugs and new in-game content.

For instance, the latest patch fixed the bug where infant food preferences got reset when going to CAS from Manage Worlds and returning to the game.

The update also fixed the glitch due to which Top Surgery Scars were unavailable when a player re-entered CAS. Also, new decoration options have been added which allows one to personalize their characters more.

However, some are unhappy.

The Sims 4 ‘face elements changing or distorting’ after latest update

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple The Sims 4 players are experiencing an issue where face elements of their Sims keep changing.

Apparently, the in-game characters’ facial elements like color, position, and size are getting modified automatically, which results in small to major changes to the face appearance.

And in worst-case scenarios, gamers witness strange character appearances. The issue popped up after the latest patch and affects those using the original or modded version of the game.

And understandably, this bug has killed the players’ excitement of customizing the characters in new ways.

Hi! I’ve been playing the sims 4 for a while and this has happened to me a couple times already, making me delete my cc folder both times. I download my cc and see some don’t work, delete the broken files and my female sims face just disappears completely? The hair works and the teeth show, weirdly.

I made a vampire Sim and gave her the red and black eyes, but I logged in and saw the game randomly gave her brown eyes and I can’t change it back.

Gamers have tried tinkering with graphics settings, restarting the game, and uninstalling and reinstalling it, but were unable to fix the glitch.

Official acknowledgment

Luckily, the Sims support team has officially acknowledged this issue and is currently working on resolving it. But no official ETA for the bug fix has been given.
