Recent reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) suggest that multiple players are experiencing severe lag or high ping issues after installing the v24.20 patch.

It has been alleged that the patch has rendered Fortnite unplayable for some as there are significant delays in registering user inputs.

And understandably, some players are also facing difficulties in shooting down their opponents even after firing multiple bullets.

The issue popped up recently and affects players across multiple platforms. Due to this, gamers are frustrated and have now taken to web forums to express their disappointment.

A player says that after the recent patch, the game has started lagging a lot. They even claim to be getting a ping of over 1000 ms, due to which their in-game character won’t make the right movements.

Gamers have even tried rebooting and resetting their modems, and switching between LAN and Wi-Fi network connectivity, but without success.

Some are that much agitated that they don’t even feel like battling their opponents while playing the game. Those affected are now requesting the developers to fix the massive lag in their servers.

Unfortunately, Epic Games has not officially responded to the matter. But we hope that Epic Games will resolve the severe lag or high ping issues in Fortnite quickly.
