Treyarch Studios recently released the Season 3 update for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 which introduces bug fixes to some known issues and weapon balances.

Along with this two new weapons, FJX Imperium Sniper Rifle and Cronen Squall Battle Rifle have been added to the game.

However, gamers are sad as they are unable to get their hands on a weapon blueprint.

Modern Warfare 2 players unable to claim Chimera ‘Nullify’ blueprint

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), some players are facing an issue where they are unable to claim the Chimera ‘Nullify’ blueprint that is included with the Season 3 battle pass.

Interestingly, a Chimera weapon blueprint known as ‘Nullify’ was released in Season 2 as well. And those who had already obtained the weapon in the last season are unable to get the new one.

Apparently, when they try to claim the new blueprint they are redirected to a window that just allows them to apply the skin to their existing weapon.

This has made the gamers frustrated and annoyed and they are now even speculating that the developers have just recycled the old skin.

Why are we getting a SECOND Nullify blueprint for the chimera instead of something more unique? Could it have been that hard to just whip up another blueprint weapon for the chimera or something else?

But, in reality, this is just a glitch and not an intended move. This can be confirmed by the fact that both weapons have different looks, styling, and attachments.

Potential workaround

Fortunately, we did come across a potential workaround that may help solve your problem. It has been suggested that you claim the entire C20 sector at once in order to avoid this problem.

However, the troubles of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 players don’t end up here.

Battle Pass map new UI gets criticized

The latest Seasonal update has also introduced a revamp of the Battle Pass map which allows players to complete the battle pass goals and challenges.

But, unfortunately, these changes have not been well received by some Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 players (1,2,3,4,5,6).

Apparently, the map’s aspect ratios appear distorted and flattened after the recent update. Also the characters look like as if they were crunched or squished to fit into the map background.

Due to this, the map appears as unattractive and awkward to many.

It worked great with the previous setup. Maybe I’m just not used to the new one so I don’t like it… but it just seems terrible compared to what it was before.

How about the fact that the skins become worthless in what…less than 6 months? Anyone that buys this is a complete degenerate imo it’s like buying a set of bald tires.

In this regard, a Redditor is also of the view that this strange UI appearance is due to a game bug and is not intended. However, this cannot be fully confirmed yet.

They are just using the wrong graphic files. Some version control or caching errors.

We do hope that Treyarch Studios will soon resolve these problems.
