Twitter 'bottom bar disappearing while scrolling' on mobile app faces backlash

The company claims that this change has been made with the aim of providing more useful information on a user’s phone screen.
However, after the recent modification, the platform users are getting confused and end up accidentally tapping on the place where the navigation bar buttons were.
Many users have expressed frustration with this change and have criticized the move on Twitter and Reddit.
One of those affected says that after the recent change, they have to scroll up every time they want to use the navigation bar’s functionality.
My twitter navigation bar is auto hiding when I scroll and it’s incredibly annoying.
Did the bottom options bar on @Twitter always disappear before when scrolling or am I just now noticing it?
Surprisingly, this is the first time that a usability change has been introduced on the Android app client before releasing it for the iOS app.
Having said that, we’ll keep an eye on the issue where the bottom bar disappears while scrolling on the Twitter mobile app and update this article when something noteworthy comes up.
