Developed by NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat Mobile is quite a popular fighting game.
Recently, the Mortal Kombat Mobile 8th anniversary celebration began which allows players to get free Diamond characters and Souls by logging in to the game every day.
However, players are unhappy as they are unable to enjoy the events in the anniversary celebration.
Mortal Kombat Mobile Open Fail error
According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple Mortal Kombat players on mobile are experiencing difficulties in playing the game.
Apparently, gamers are unable to proceed with the gameplay after claiming the free Diamond characters and Souls. They allegedly get an ‘Open Fail’ error message after which the game crashes.
The issue has been persistent for the past few days and remains unresolved until now. Due to this, gamers are frustrated and annoyed and have taken to social media to express their displeasure.
One of the gamers says that after watching an in-game ad, their game crashed. They also mention that upon relaunching the game, they are just being displayed the ‘Open Fail’ error message.
Also, they are unable to tap on any in-game button or option.
I know I’m not the only person, but plz help. I haven’t played in 2 days.

Players are now requesting WB Games to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Official acknowledgment
Fortunately, the WB Games Support team on Twitter has officially acknowledged this issue and is currently investigating it. But, no official ETA for the bug fix has been given.
We do hope that the developers fix this bug shortly.
We will continue to monitor the issue where players receive an Open Fail error message in the Mortal Kombat Mobile game and update this article as needed.
