San Diego Studio recently released the second update for MLB The Show 23 which introduces fixes to some of the known issues and graphical improvements to the in-game elements.

For instance, the update fixed the bugs where incorrect team logos and game summaries were displayed in Mini Seasons and players could not equip custom uniforms.

The patch also addressed the big scoreboard issue at Citi Field.

MLB The Show 23 ‘Citi Field’ big scoreboard

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple players had earlier faced an issue where the Citi Field’s scoreboard dimensions were way bigger than they normally should be.

It was alleged that the developers had not properly researched while designing the stadium’s scoreboard.

Gamers were of the view that the development team should have featured more of a realistic stadium rather than an improperly designed one. And expectedly, they took to web forums to express their displeasure.

One of the players was of the view that the scoreboard needed to be redesigned and attention needed to be given to even minor details while designing the same.

And thankfully, the developers did listen to the players’ request and replaced the Citi Field scoreboard with the old layout. However, it appears that this decision has not been well received by gamers.

Some MLB The Show 23 players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) are dissatisfied since the developers simply switched the new board for the old one rather than modifying it and adding new details and elements.

And understandably, they are frustrated, with others alleging that the right field dimensions are inaccurate as well.

Wow. @MLBTheShow totally ruined Citi Field. Their fix was add the old stadium scoreboard. So now it’s way outdated. Use the crazy looking one as this is terrible.

Gamers are now once again requesting the developers to introduce a new and optimized scoreboard layout instead of sticking with the old one.

Having said that, we do hope that San Diego Studio listens to the gamers’ requests and considers making the necessary changes to the Citi Field scoreboard in MLB The Show 23.
