[Updated] YouTube home page showing 'blank screen with no video recommendations' for a section of users
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on November 3, 2022) follows:
Online video sharing and social media platform, YouTube, regularly receives updates to make for an even more enriching experience.
YouTube recommendations also help users discover the videos that they love watching on the home page and in the ‘Up next’ section. But it’s not always rosy.
And in fresh reports, it seems that the video recommendation functionality is broken. Those affected say it has stopped suggesting videos.

Surprisngly, searching videos do show results as usual and some users are able to view subscriptions normally too.
Those affected have tried clearing cache or cookies but to no avail. Even disabling their extensions doesn’t seem to fix the issue.
We’ve added a screenshot of the blank YouTube home page below for reference:
Unfortunately, YouTube is yet to comment on the issue so those affected will have to wait for the team to come up with a definitive fix. There’s also no workaround that can help fix the issue temporarily.
As always, we will be updating this space when the bug is fixed so stay tuned for more information.
