[Updated] Twitter bookmarks broken or not working for some users

We have been seeing several bugs and issues lately with the social media platform Twitter. Sometimes they appear owing to an update, and occasionally, they also appear out of the blue.

For instance, we recently saw a bug that was preventing images or pictures from loading in DMs. The ‘tweet not sent’ error has also been affecting a section of users.

And now, several Twitter users (1,2,3,4,5,6) are reporting that bookmarks have stopped working for them or appear broken.

While users have successfully been able to add tweets to their bookmarks, viewing them later reveals that the attempt was unsuccessful.

Only the previously saved posts or tweets are visible in the bookmarks. It seems that removing old tweets and adding new ones is also not working for some users.

Those affected have even tried installing and reinstalling the app but to no avail.

@TwitterSupport I can’t add/delete bookmarks. I barely had any bookmarks to begin with. Now no matter how many times I remove them/add them, it still won’t work. Tried reinstalling too. Didn’t help at all. Plz Help! 😐

Unfortunately, Twitter hasn’t acknowledged the issue yet but we hope that a fix is already in the works.

There is no workaround at the moment but until then, please keep an eye on this article because we will update it as new information becomes available.

06:00 pm (IST): It seems that the issue where Twitter bookmarks are broken or not working has popped up again for some users (1,2,3,4).

05:03 pm (IST): Some Twitter users are reporting that their saved bookmarks are not loading or have vanished form the tab (1, 2).

05:10 pm (IST): The issue where the bookmarks are disappearing is still present for some users. Meanwhile, others are recovering their bookmarks.

So, it may be a matter of time before all those affected recover their saved tweets.
