[Updated] Discord VC (video call) 'No Route' or 'Disconnected' errors acknowledged, but there are some workarounds

Discord is one of the most popular social networking platforms that lets users talk over voice, video, and text with friends and like-minded communities.

The platform also receives regular updates and general tweaks in order to provide a more enriching experience to the users.

However, not every update is guaranteed to fix all the bugs. Some, in fact, introduce new problems and issues.

Discord video call ‘No Route’ or ‘Disconnected’ error

And now, a number of users (1,2,3,4,5,6) have taken to social media platforms to report that they are getting error messages while trying to join a VC (video call).

According to reports, Discord mobile app is throwing ‘No Route’ or ‘Disconnected’ error messages whenever an attempt to join a VC is made.

It appears that the issue has been troubling Android users since yesterday after the v171.22 update.

This is incredibly frustrating for those who heavily rely on the platform for the video calling feature. They have tried restarting their phones and reinstalling the app but to no avail.

Fortunately, Discord has acknowledged the issue where users are getting ‘No Route’ or ‘Disconnected’ error messages when joining a video call.

We have also come across some workarounds that can help fix this issue temporarily. It involves installing the older version.

It seems that the issue is limited to some specific regions, so those are now changing their location in order to fix it.

I was having the same issue, but changing the region of the voice channel seemed to fix it for me. Regions are on a per channel basis though, so keep that in mind

One even claims that Beta is also impacted, so those who are using it can run the recent stable version.

Seems like withdrawing from the beta or reverting to an older version should fix it.
