Verizon, one of the largest wireless carriers in the US, is facing complaints from its customers about connectivity on multiple devices.

Apparently, some Verizon users have been experiencing poor LTE connectivity issues with both regular LTE and LTE Home internet services. This comes shortly after we covered an article highlighting Verizon’s slow 5G speed.

Some Verizon users facing poor LTE connectivity issues

Some have taken to social media platforms such as Reddit to report (1,2,3) their frustration with the slow speeds and dropped connections they have been experiencing.

LTE Home Internet being horseshit out of nowhere?
I have the 4G LTE Home Internet modem, and usually get about 40-50mbps download speed. All of a sudden since last night, it’s been averaging 1.75mbps down and hasn’t gone back to normal. I’ve done all trouble shooting that I could possibly think of. Anyone have any idea why it’s doing this?

The issue seems to be affecting users across multiple devices, including iPhones and Android phones. One user reported that when their phone is on LTE, data doesn’t work at all.

Others have reported that LTE reliability has been poor and that they have been experiencing extremely high ping and slow speeds.

In addition, some users have reported that their LTE Home Internet service has also been affected.

It’s not clear what is causing these issues, but some users have suggested that it could be related to network congestion or maintenance.

But Verizon has not yet released an official statement addressing the issue.

Potential workaround

However, we have come across a workaround that can act as a quick but temporary fix for the problem.

The only workaround I’ve found is to turn off voice over LTE. Problem solved, except the pixel 7 doesn’t appear to have that option, and it’s really annoying since you can no longer use any internet while taking calls.

Verizon has been working on expanding its 5G network which promises faster speeds and lower latency than 4G LTE. But it’s possible the rollout is behind the congestion issues affecting LTE connectivity for some users.

It’s also worth noting that not all users are experiencing these issues.

Some have reported relatively reliable LTE speeds, suggesting that the issue may be localized or affecting a specific subset of users.

If you’re experiencing poor LTE connectivity on your Verizon device, there are a few things you can try. First, try restarting your device or resetting your network settings.

If that doesn’t work, try moving to a different location to see if the issue is related to network congestion in your area.

You can also contact Verizon customer support to report the issue and see if they can provide any additional assistance.

It’s frustrating to experience slow and unreliable connectivity, and we really hope that Verizon addresses the issue as soon as possible along with fixing it.
