New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on March 14, 2023) follows:

The recent Google Pixel March 2023 feature drop ensures new features, device stability, better connectivity, performance enhancement, and more for all Google Pixel phones besides Google Pixel 6.

Google Pixel 6, 6 Pro, and 6a did not receive the recent security and feature drop yet and the users are definitely not approving of it.

Google Pixel 6 March 2023 feature drop delayed

Google Pixel 6 series owners were disappointed to find that they did not receive the expected March 2023 feature drop.

According to some reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7), the feature drop has been delayed due to unknown reasons, leaving Pixel 6 owners wondering when they can expect the update to arrive.

No March update for Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a?
I notice that the March update announcement on this forum doesn’t show the update as available for the Pixel 6 or 6 Pro or 6a, nor does the update appear for those phones among the OTA updates at (it does for all the other models), nor does my 6a find an update available when I check in settings on the phone. My wife’s Pixel 5 has updated OK.
Why is the update missing for the 6 series?

No feature drop for 6a?
The March feature drop is live for most. But why isn’t it available for the 6 series? One of the reasons I bought this phone was the “excellent” update support.

Users took to social media and support forums to express their frustration and disappointment with the delay.

Owners were eagerly anticipating the March feature drop and were looking forward to the new features and improvements it would bring.

Google has not provided any official explanation for the delay of the March 2023 feature drop.

However, some users have reported that Google support has confirmed that Pixel 6 devices will receive the update on March 20th, 2023.

This should come as welcome news to Pixel 6 owners who have been patiently waiting for the update.

While it’s unclear why the feature drop was delayed, it’s worth noting that software updates are complex and can sometimes encounter unexpected issues that require more time to resolve.

Google is known for prioritizing the quality and stability of its updates, so it’s possible that the delay is due to the company taking extra time to ensure that the feature drop is fully tested and ready for release.

The March 2023 feature drop is expected to bring a number of new features and improvements to Pixel 6 devices, including performance enhancements, new camera features, and security updates.

Some of the features that are rumored to be included in the update include improved low-light photography, a new astrophotography mode, and better overall camera performance.

In addition to camera improvements, the March 2023 feature drop is also expected to include a number of other updates and improvements, such as improved battery life, enhanced Google Assistant functionality, and more.

We hope that with the expected release date of March 20th, 2023, Pixel 6 owners can look forward to a number of new features and improvements that will enhance their device’s performance, capabilities, and overall user experience.

Until then, keep tabs on this story as we will post further developments here as soon as we come across any.
