Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is quite a popular game in the online tactical shooting genre. It recently received the Year 8 Season 1 update, which introduced bug fixes to some known issues.

For instance, the update fixed the issues where one could not pick up a Defuser while sprinting and an operator could melee through Shields.

The patch also addressed the incorrect render scaling issue while the FSR was on. However, some are experiencing issues with the Rainbow Six Siege Credits.

Rainbow Six Siege credits bugged: Unable to buy

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), some Rainbow Six Siege players are facing difficulties while trying to purchase new credits in the game. The issue has popped up recently.

The credits allow one to purchase the newest Operators, weapon skins, charms, and much more. These can be purchased through the in-game store or the Ubisoft store, as per one’s convenience.

A player complains that whenever they try to purchase new credits for the game, they get a ‘something went wrong, please try again in a few seconds’ error message.

Another gamer alleges that they are not even getting an option to select a payment method while trying to buy the credits.

They also mentioned that as soon as they hit the purchase option, they get a ‘Thank you for your purchase’ message, but the credit balance remains unchanged.

I don’t know if this is a common problem, but I still can’t buy R6 credits in the game. It seems that Ubi Connect refuses to connect to Steam to complete the transaction. This is why I can’t buy the battle pass. Any solutions?

It is worth mentioning that a similar issue had popped up last year as well. However, the troubles of Rainbow Six Siege players don’t end here.

Credits missing or not received

Some Rainbow Six Siege players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) complain that they have not yet received the credits they had previously purchased as well.

One of those affected allege that thay have not yet received the 600 Credits that were bundled with the recently purchased battle pass. They also claim to have purchased additional 600 credits but have not received them yet.

Gamers are now requesting the developers to resolve the issues soon.

Potential workaround

Fortunately, we did come across a potential workaround that may help solve your problem. A Redditor suggests that you claim a challenge with the help of the Ubisoft Connect application.

Doing so should fix the issue and show up your credit balance.

Update 1 (September 1, 2023)

08:51 am (IST): Fresh reports (1, 2, 3) indicate that the issue where players are unable to buy credits has resurfaced for some players.
