New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on March 9, 2023) follows:

At the end of February, a collaboration between Fortnite and ‘The Witcher’ franchise became official. Thanks to this, the successful battle royale received content directly inspired by the Geralt of Rivia saga.

As in previous collaborations, it includes skins (like the ‘Geralt of Rivia’ one), weapons, Items and quests related to ‘The Witcher’ universe.

But, it seems that some Fortnite players are getting stuck on the ‘Geralt of Rivia’ quest, preventing them from receiving the skin as a reward.

Fortnite ‘Geralt of Rivia’ quest stuck on 4/5 or remains incomplete

One of the ways to get the ‘Geralt of Rivia’ skin in Fortnite is by completing a 5-steps main quest, but it seems this quest is getting stuck at 4/5 after meeting all the necessary requirements.

I logged onto Fortnite and a quest somehow completed itself even though I didn’t even get in a match and it hadn’t been completed before. So now even though I should have 5/5 Page 1 quests completed the outfit says I 4/5 even though you can clearly see all of those are owned.

Geralt Not Unlocking

I’m trying to unlock Geralt, and I don’t have any available quests for Page 1, but it’s saying that I have 4/5 complete and will not unlock the skin. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Source

The bug is causing quite a lot of frustration among the players. After all, they made an effort to fulfill all the mini quests or requirements hoping to get the reward.

The fix will arrive in the next update, but there is no ETA yet

Fortunately, the Epic Games team is already aware of the issue and working on a fix which will arrive in the next update. But, there is still no ETA for the update in question.

We’re aware of an issue with the Geralt Quest displaying incomplete 4/5 for some players. As long as you’ve completed all the requirements this is a visual issue only and will be resolved in the next update.

Although the problem is a visual bug, it still prevents players from getting the skin. There is no workaround that helps players receive their reward either.

We will update this story as events unfold in the future.

Update 1 (March 10, 2023)

10:31 am (IST): A Redditor has suggested a temporary workaround to resolve this problem. You can try it out and see if it helps.

Restart your device. It was happening to me and when I rebooted, I got my “claim my steel sword” notice. (Source)
