Here’s the crux of the article in video form

Developed by Glumberland, Ooblets is a life simulation video game available on Windows, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The farming elements of Story of Seasons and the mechanics of Pokemon are combined together and used in this game.

Recently, Ooblets received a patch that’s unfortunately causing issues for some players.

Ooblets game crashing or not working after recent patch

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9), multiple players complain that the game keeps crashing or does not work properly after the recent update.

Those affected say that the game displays ‘the software was closed because an error occurred’ message as well. Also, for some the game crashes immediately whenever they try to load an old, saved game file.

The problem affects gamers on the Nintendo Switch, and they have taken to web forums to express their views regarding the same.

A player on Twitter complains that after installing the recent update, the game crashes as soon as they try to ‘Rehome’ an Ooblet.

Another alleges that ever since the update, the game crashes after a minute or two of gameplay, which is quite frustrating and annoying.

@ooblets i just updated my game on my switch and now every time i load into the town, the game crashes out. Plz help!!!!!

I’ve been playing the game since December and this is the first time I’ve had any issues,so I’m feeling hopeful they can fix it

Official acknowledgment

Fortunately, the Ooblets support team on Twitter has officially acknowledged the issue. The developers have already submitted a patch for the bug, but it must first be certified before going live.

Unfortunately, no official ETA for the release of the fix has been provided.

We do hope that Glumberland resolves the issues soon.

Having said that, we’ll keep tabs on the issue where the Ooblets game is crashing or not working after the recent patch and update this article as and when something noteworthy comes up.
