Developed by Treyarch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is a popular name in the multiplayer first-person shooter genre. It also introduced the ‘Blackout’ battle royale mode, allowing up to 100 players to compete in a match.

Even though gamers enjoy playing it, some occasional bugs and issues spoil their gameplay experience.

COD: Black Ops 4 Black Market crashing issue persists

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9), some players are facing an issue where the game crashes as soon as one tries to access the Black Market.

The Black Market allows gamers to get unlockable gear like calling cards, tags, gestures, outfits, and much more. But due to the glitch, some are unable to get any new items from the market.

Some players (1,2) complain that they even get a fatal error when their game crashes to the desktop.

Also, some are reporting random crashes while playing the Zombie mode. They allegedly get the ‘blzbntbgs000003f8’ connection error.

The issues have been persistent for the past few months, and the developers are yet to resolve them. Players are now requesting the developers to fix the Black Market glitch.

For months its seems, due to the earliest posts about this issue going back to April, whenever you try to open the black market on PC, it crashes just a couple seconds later. I’ve seen numerous posts about it when I Google the issue, yet nothing has been done.

I hope the black market crash and security problems get fixed. Those are the 2 biggest problems on bo4 for pc. If they are going back to update bo4 hopefully they do the same for bo3!

A Redditor even alleges that the developers have abandoned the game and they are not interested in fixing the bug as the issue remains unresolved until now.

No official response

Unfortunately, Treyarch has not officially responded to the matter. So, it looks like gamers might have to wait for a while before the issue gets fixed.

Potential workaround

Fortunately, we did come across a potential workaround that may help solve your problem. It is recommended that you install the Netlimiter software from here and use it to limit the game’s download limit to 1 B/s.

We do hope that Treyarch listens to the gamers’ request and fixes this problem soon.

That said, we will keep tabs on the issue where the Black Market is crashing in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and update this story as we come across new information.
