[Updated] Some frustrated Motorola users asking for refund due to delayed Android 13 update rollout

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on Feb. 8, 2023) follows:

The stable Android 13 update has been out for a number of smartphones now including Google Pixel, Samsung, OnePlus, and so on.

But it appears that this is not the case with some Motorola devices including the popular Moto G71. Some are still relentlessly waiting for the update.

Motorola Android 13 delay for some users

Resultantly, some Motorola owners (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) are incredibly frustrated by this and reporting that their devices still haven’t gotten the Android 13 update.

As the title says Any information on when the Android 13 update will be released? I’m a moto edge 30 pro user.

It undoubtedly prompted users to ask for a refund owing to the delay in rolling out the update. They feel that the same issue might occur at the time of the Android 14 release.

It is worth noting that Motorola confirmed that some of its devices would get an Android 13 update by ‘early 2023’. This naturally raised hopes for those waiting for an upgrade for their devices.

But the fact that Motorola hasn’t yet specified or shared the roadmap for the same is quite unsettling for some users.

Motorola’s agent response

So far, one of the agents has responded to a user’s query regarding the refund. They are being advised to contact the local call centers for the same.
