Overwatch 2 Season 3 ‘Starter Pack’ price bump

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), some gamers are disappointed by Blizzard Interactive’s move to increase the price of the starter pack with the new season.

Season 2’s ‘Starter Pack’ included 500 Overwatch coins as well as the Epic Disco Lucio skin. Players can use these coins to buy in-game cosmetic items that allow them to customize the heroes.

But with Season 3, the price for the same has been raised to $10. It is worth mentioning that the latest pack includes the Battle Pass, a new Honey Bee Mercy Epic skin, and 1000 Overwatch Coins.

A player on Twitter complains that they have already purchased the Battle Pass but would have to pay for it again due to the new package bundle. They also allege that it’s just a money-making move by the game developers.

Another gamer has also expressed their disappointment on the matter. They say that they were planning to purchase the new Starter pack with their saved coins, but with the price increase, they will be unable to do so.

However, there are some players (1,2,3,4,5,6) in favor of the move.

They are happy because before the update, they had to pay $10 just for the Battle Pass. Now, in the same price range, they get more coins, an additional 500 coins, and a brand-new skin.

What’s the problem? Now you just use the coins you get from the starter pack to buy the BP. You get the BP & a skin, and you spent $10 instead of $15
